If you’re going to buy a house, make sure that you have an idea of how many owners versus renters there are in the area you choose.

This is beneficial for you since you will know how many people living in that building or area take better care of their place. Why would that affect you? Just think about it. What if you’re in an area that has a high number of renters? What happens?

It’s going to affect your condo unit and your house prices.

My building, for example, has a very high-average income and people have been living there for a very long time. Thus, the prices have really not changed at all.

Remember, the areas that have the most renters are the places where the rental price and the sale price are going to drop. So, try to live in an area or a building that has high owner occupancy to help preserve and protect your property value.
